It's Raining Cats & Kittens - Become a Foster Parent Today!
While kittens are so adorable and can bring such joy to one's life, there is a true epedemic in our community and nationwide -- "kitten season." Beginning in the spring, female cats become pregnant and then give birth, flooding KHS and local animal shelters with homeless kittens.
With hundreds of cats and kittens coming through our doors, we desperately need need foster parents TODAY!
Won't you open your home and your heart to care for a feline friend (or friends) in need?
- We Rely Wonderul People like YOU to Foster Animals! With so many kittens too young to be adopted out, as well as some adult cats who just needs a little extra time before being placed for adoption, foster care volunteers make all the difference.
- Time Commitments Vary, so Anyone Can Foster! Whether you can provide a temporary home for a few days, a few weeks or a few months, you can become a foster care volunteer! Plus, you don't need to attend a volunteer orientation to get involved with the KHS Foster Care program.
- Foster Families are Just Like Your Family! Most foster parents work full-time, have other (fully vaccinated) pets and are true animal lovers...just like you!
- Students Can Receive Community Services for Fostering Animals! What a terrific way to serve the community! And, you can do it at home!
- It's Easy to Get Involved with Our Foster Care Program! Click here to download our foster parent application.
